Audio Description Workshop and Seminar (Performing and Visual Arts)
ADA has invited two audio description experts Roz Chalmers and Andrew Holland from UK VocalEyes to conduct audio description workshop (phase one) and a seminar in Hong Kong Arts Development Council last month. In the seminar, they shared overseas trend in arts accessibility scheme and their experience working with arts organization like Natural Theatre. In the workshop, students were divided into two groups, namely, visual arts and performing arts. Participants and arts practitioners reflected that the workshop and seminar have enriched their understanding towards audio description. Phase two workshop, leading by local audio descriptors, has commenced afterward. We hope to nurture more professional audio descriptors for Hong Kong’s art scene.
