Introduction

Stanley Lo is an ADA registered artist. An amateur photographer with hearing impairment, he won the silver medal in Hong Kong Abilympics in 2007. During the same year, Stanley represented Hong Kong to compete in the 7th International Abilympics in Shizuoka, Japan and won the 3rd runner–up in photography. In 2008, he gained entry to the first round nomination of the Sun Life Stanley Dragon Boat Photo Contest.

His first camera was from his father. Inspired by his tutor, Mr Au Yeung Chi Kong, his photography skills became increasingly sophisticated, following more than 20 years of practice in film and digital shooting. Stanley has participated in various exhibitions, which include North District 2008 Flower Bird Insect Fish Show, A Recollection of Time, Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre Opening - Inaugural Exhibition, 120 Angle of View Photographic Exhibition, Our Space–Giving David Hockney Salute.

Stanley likes taking documentary photos of people of different cultures and backgrounds, as a means to encourage self-examination. Moreover, he likes taking photos of nature to show its beauty and remind us the importance of environmental protection.
