“Creative Spark” brings laughter and sensations into life
Eight sessions in a total of 24 hours, Trainer’s Training Master Workshop’s “Cultivating the Creative Spark – Telling diverse stories individually, collectively, in words and images” has come to a successful end. The instructor, Kaite O’Reilly has shared a theatrical form, “Theatre of the Oppressed”, and has practiced performance techniques of “Image Theatre’ and “Forum Theatre” with the participants. They also underwent different ways of creative story writing. Participants have learned and experienced telling stories in both movement and text. They have opened up their imaginative thinking and explored unique imageries. Creative spark has created many heart-warming, interesting and crazy creations, thus making this workshop full of laughter and emotion.

West Kowloon Cultural District’s Lyric Theatre Complex Stakeholder Meeting
ADAHK has always shown great concern on the accessibility of arts and cultural venues in Hong Kong. Since 2013, we have provided consultation services to different buildings in the West Kowloon Cultural District. We currently serve as the advisor to West Kowloon Cultural District’s Lyric Theatre Complex. ADAHK organised a stakeholder meeting on 3 May to collect opinions from more than 20 different rehabilitation centres and organisations. Collection of feedback will be closed on 11 May. Afterwards, ADAHK will carry on following up with the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and the architectural design team on the advancement of accessible and barrier-free facilities.

Shadow Puppet is a creative way of telling stories by using lights, puppets, and hands. Jockey Club Inclusive Arts Studio is going to organize a Shadow Puppet Workshop (Phase 1). Limited places are available, do enroll now! We welcome people with different abilities to join!

“Art for All” Sand Painting Workshop
Chiu Wai Chi Jessica, ADAHK’s Green Leaf Artist is invited to organize a sand painting workshop for students of the Hong Kong Baptist University on 11 April. Jessica introduced sand painting and shared her experience on art creation. She also invited students to come on stage and explore the fun of sand painting.
