“Artists with Disabilities Ignition Scheme 2.0” has been officially launched!
Continuing from our three-year project, the Ignition Scheme 2.0 is being launched this year! This scheme plans to cooperate with three special schools, including Hong Kong Red Cross John F. Kennedy Centre, Sam Shui Natives Association Lau Pun Cheung School and Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island West Hong Chi Morning Hope School. Through art trainings, the scheme aims to develop their artistic potential. Even with coronavirus, students of painting class and pottery class can still continue to learn online and interact with art facilitators. Positive responses have been received!

Another perspective to see exhibition
The Hong Kong Jockey Club ‘Accessible Art @ HKMoA’ Pilot Scheme, a collaboration with the Hong Kong Museum of Art, not only provides accessible guided tours for visitors with different abilities, but also offers various accessibility resources on the project website for highlighted artworks of the three selected exhibitions, namely ‘A Sense of Place: from Turner to Hockney’, ‘Ordinary to Extraordinary: Stories of the Museum’ and ‘Hong Kong Experience • Hong Kong Experiment’. Accessibility resources include bilingual audio descriptions as well as sign videos with both Chinese and English subtitles. While staying at home in the fight against the novel coronavirus, we now can enjoy arts online without any barrier!
