When he was a child, Moavia came to Hong Kong from Pakistan with his family. He began his primary schooling at the Hong Kong Red Cross Margaret Trench School, and learnt Chinese with Ms. Tam. He was passionate about painting, and in 2010 his work received a top award in 'Cross All Borders'. This greatly boosted his confidence. Later, with the gradual decline of his physical abilities, his creations became an important window of contact for him and the outside world. His creations are very diverse. They include comics, gift cards, illustrations, and stickers amongst countless others. He had even learnt to create short animated films. Encouraged by Ms. Tam and her colleagues, Moavia set up his own Facebook page, and began uploading and sharing his work with others. He created his own illustrated story books, putting a lot of thought into the story content, character design, drawing and coloring. He painted his own experiences, dreams and his relationship with his mother. Moavia died in 2019, but his books and many works still resonate with both young and old, and art enthusiasts.
