Performance 3: Local Inspirations

Creativity is taking center stage as a group of Hong Kong’s devoted performing artists fill the empty space with fascinating dance and theatre. Comprising talented choreographers, directors, dancers, actors and actresses, Local Inspirations harvests the original dance and theatre pieces created from persistent reflection and labouring practice. Don’t miss the chance of seeing these compelling performances!

Wheelchair Latin Dance – Love
While love has different expressions in the secular world − be it tenderness, desire, passion or affection − we all pursue love. Choreographed by Betty Wan and performed by Olivia Chung, Philip Wong, Cathy Sin and Albert Kwok, this wheelchair Latin dance spinning the many facets of love will certainly impress you.

Visual Communication Theatre – Creation
Anthony Wong, Carmen Mok, Bob Wong, Elaine Wong and Jacky Chung join hands to perform Creation, one of the masterpieces of Visual Communication Theatre. Using facial expressions, body movements and hand gestures, they create a beautiful work of art that takes the audience into the mystery of our universe. This newly version has added familiar elements of Hong Kong people’s lives to evoke resonance and reflection.

Contemporary Dance – Life

Choreographed by Cathy Cheung Sau King, five dancers of different backgrounds including Christine Lau, Alan Lau, Ko Lok Yan, Tiffani Chiu and Ho Ming Yan will perform a contemporary dance rendering the joys of life. This exceptional dance by Turbulent Dance Theatre (II) employs multi−media visual elements to bring a sumptuous visual feast.

Hip Hop – Spark
The wonderful performances by Fun Forest’s trio Jason Wong, Ariel Fung and Tony Tong always win strong applause and cheering from the audience. How much hotter a spark with the crossover of these three young dancers and Jonathan Wong? The only way to find out this superb energetic and explosive force is to join the show.
