Introduction
Since 2010, Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong has received the funding and support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, to execute projects at Jockey Club Inclusive Arts Studio (JCIAS), in order to provide equal opportunities for people with different abilities to participate in arts activities at the mainstream arts venue. The project also received the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2012 “Award for Arts Education (Non-School Division) Gold Award”. It reflects the effectiveness for promoting inclusion through art by JCIAS.
By organizing various programmes for arts education, community arts and international exchange, and collaborating with different artists and organizations, we invite people from all walks of lives, regardless their age, gender and abilities, to join the programmes and experience what ‘Arts are for Everyone’ means. The possibilities of arts are realized and the social inclusion is promoted through the arts.
