SAR Phil Concert 2011

Lee Hin, an outstanding pianist, is an ADA Angel of the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong. He started learning piano when he was 11 and attained ATCL Performance's Certificate from the Trinity College London and Garden 8 in singing from ABRSM. 

Being a classical music lover, he is also keen on singing while playing piano. He was awarded the Most Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award of "CrossAll Borders: A Mini Festival Showcasing New Performing Artists with Disabilities". Through the arrangements of ADA, Lee Hin has studied piano under the mentorship of renowned pianist, Ms Nancy Loo. As an ADA Angel,  he promotes the mission of 'Arts are for Everyone' to the local community and the world at large. In 2010 LCSD's Community Cultrural Ambassardor Scheme – Dancing Keys, Lee Hin performed with the Hong Kong Ballet and floral arragement artist Mandy Tang in different communities to boost for an inclusive society. Apart from the local performances, he also had the opportunities to exchange with overseas artists in the 2010 International VSA Festival in Washington D.C. and the 8th Internation Abilympics Seoul 2011.

Dancing Keys

Having participated in the public performances and cooperated with various music maestro and arts groups, Lee Hin has gained valuable experiences. In 2011, He performed with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Hong Kong SAR Philharmonic Orchestra in the "Hong Kong Phil and Friends Fundraising Concert 2011" and "Romancing the ADA Charity Concert 2011" respectively. In 2010, He also performed a duet with erhu maestro Mr Wong On-yuen on "Below the Lion Rock" at Shanghai Expo. He was invited by renowned musician Kung Chi-shing to Hong Kong Arts Centre's Street Music Series. Lee Hin has also participated in numerous charity events, such as the concerts of the Outstanding Young Persons' Association and the charity show with pop star Hins Cheung in 2009 to raise fund for the earthquake victims.

expoThe loss of eyesight due to congenital Retinitis Pigmentosa brings inconvenience to his practice, yet does not defeat his enthusiasm for arts and continuous music learning.  "In the vast world of music, I will continue to enhance my musical attainments and share with more people through arts." Lee Hin said.
