Entering its 5th year, the Jockey Club Arts for the Disabled Scheme (JCADS) not only has planted many seeds it's the arts among persons with disabilities but also nurtured the creative and intellectual potential of its participants in the arts and cultural fields, thus to excel through their artistic abilities and perseverance.opportunities to excel themselves.
The JCADS Annual Performance and Exhibition 2008 have recently been conducted in Tuen Mun Town Hall. Funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and organized by the Labour and Welfare Bureau of the HKSAR Government, ADA is the Co-organizer of the Performance and Showcase which had a theme of "Nurturing".
The Exhibition – Held from 13 December 2008 to 16 January 2009 at the Exhibition Gallery of the Tuen Mun Town Hall, the Exhibition has displayed about 1,000 pieces of artwork from 1,100 participants of the JCADS. Guided tours and education activities available during the Exhibition received overwhelming response from the community.
Annual Performance – Conducted on 10 January 2009 (Sat) at the Auditorium of the Tuen Mun Town Hall, the Performance featured various art forms such as lion dance, puppetry, Chinese drumming, dance, music performance, Cantonese Opera, wheelchair dance, etc. from over 150 talented performers.
