Dear Parents / Facilitators / Participants,

In view of the recent outbreak of human swine influenza A (H1N1) in the North America, the Serious Response Level under the Government’s Preparedness Plan for Pandemic was activated on 26 April 2009 and taking precautions against influenza outbreaks is highly advised.

Everyone has the responsibility of the prevention of influenza outbreaks. For the good of public health we urge all the programme participants, including staff, facilitators and participants, to follow these instructions:

• Maintain good personal and environmental hygiene.
• Wash hands or clean hands by alcohol-based handrub before entering the Inclusive Arts Studio or other venues for attending programme.
• Please refrain from the programme and inform ADA staff to take a sick leave if develop symptoms of influenza or fever.
• Please bring along your own handkerchief and tissues. Do not share it with others.
• Cover nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing; wash hands with liquid soap promptly if they are contaminated by respiratory tract secretions.
• Keep hands clean and wash hands properly. Alcohol-based handrub is also effective when hands are not visibly soiled.
• Please inform us if develop symptoms of influenza within a week after joining our programme.

Masks and tissues are ready at ADA venues and staff for outreach programme. Please request if necessary.
