Grantees of 2014

This year, a total of 12 applications have been received. Two Artists with Disability of outstanding performance have been awarded the sponsorship of our Fund. They are Ms. Michelle Siu and Mr. Tang Cheuk Him. The backgrounds and the artistic development plans are  as below.

Artistic talents: Vocal and Piano

Background
- Visual Impairment
- Obtained Grade 8 Certificates for Vocal and Piano from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
- Selected as 2012 Hong Kong Spirit Ambassador
- Won The Most Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award and The Most Outstanding Performer Award (Children and Youth) in "Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Performing Artists with Disabilities 2013"

Development Plan
Music Conveys Positive Energy
- Attend private vocal and music theory lessons at HKAPA once a week from 2014 to 2016
- Obtain LRSM Vocal from Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
- Obtain Grade 8 Music Theory from Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music

Artistic Talent: Piano and Violin

Background
- Wheelchair user
- Obtained Grade 8 and Grade 5 for Piano and Violin from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
- Being the Second Violin in Hong Kong Youth Strings
- Won The Most Outstanding Performer Award (Children and Youth) in "Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Performing Artists with Disabilities 2013"

Development Plan
Private piano lesson
- Attend piano lesson once a week from 2013 to 16 under mentorship of renowned pianist
- Consolidate knowledge and techniques in piano
- Obtain Diploma from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
