Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2014 has entered into the most exciting stage! While the adjudication panel has already decided on the awards from 850 submissions, the winning pieces together with over 400 pieces of 2D and 3D artworks will be exhibited at the Exhibition Gallery, 1/F, Sha Tin Town Hall, from 6 to 18 September. Join us to experience how arts can “Cross All Borders”!

Co-presented by Labour and Welfare Bureau and Radio Television Hong Kong, and in collaboration with ADA, a variety show “Gala Extraordinary – Stage of Ability 2014” will be held at Star Hall, Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre on 6 September 2014. With the aim to promote the Talent-Wise Employment Charter and Inclusive Organisations Recognition Scheme to public, performers from different countries and local artists with disabilities will join hands to conduct a series of fascinating performace. The show will be broadcasted on 13 September 2014, at 7:00pm in TVB Jade and RTHK TV 31 channel.

We are providing a series of training workshops and public seminar on Audio Description for live performances in October, led by Andrea Day, an experienced Broadway audio describer from the States. Anyone interested is welcome to join.

We are going to hold a series of Arts Expertise Workshops for people with disabilities. Participants can develop their art skills and share their skills with corporate volunteers. They will then join hands with corporate volunteers to provide art services in community events to promote social inclusion. Workshops include Paper Craft, Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, Accessories Production. (Details are available in Chinese only)
