Artist with Disability Development Scheme – Community Inclusion Event 2016
The grantees of 'The 3rd year Artists with Disability Development Fund' Kevin Cheng(photography), Jessica Chiu(Sand painting) and Lee Hin (music), under the guidance of renowned theater director Mr Roy Szeto, the Creative Adviser, have bring the audiences a multimedia show full of wonders and imagination, The 'Wonderland'.
Inspire by the fairy tale story Alice in Wonderland, 3 artists joint together to search and create their piece base on the theme of Dream, Childishness, Imagination and Growing up. With multimedia stage effects, the show intends for the audiences to experience realty to fantasy. 3 artists perform on the same stage, link together with visual image, music and sand painting. Kevin Cheng create a serial of videos and photos to probe about realty and fairy tale, Jessica Chiu use sand painting to search for lost Childishness, Lee Hin with his music and song ‘Dream’ tells about his childhood, growing up, ups and downs of life. Finally 3 artists interact with each other by their art form, hopes to inspire the audiences to seek out their own Wonderland.
Two performances attracted more than 1,000 audiences and incorporate accessible service into the performances, Theatrical Interpreter acts as one of the actor so that people with different abilities can truly enjoy the barrier-free performance.
