ARTram Shelters is an art project created by Hong Kong Tramways and POAD to support young Hong Kong artists and bring art to wider audiences. Our ADA artist Apple Tong and Frank Wong are invited to create numerous 3D paintings about Hong Kong culture. Their works will be presented at the tram shelters at Tai Koo Shing Cityplaza and Southorn Stadium on 11 May! Let’s experience and feel the enjoyment of artistic interaction together!
Award News from Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong
‘Jockey Club Arts Accessibility Scheme’ that run by the Jockey Club Arts Accessibility Service Centre (JCAASC) has just received the Award for Arts Promotion in Hong Kong Arts Development Award. This has been the 3rd time we are presented with this award. Besides, our main website, the website of JCAASC, and that of ADAM are also awarded in the ‘Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2015’. We will keep up our work, continue to provide professional accessibility services to different arts programmes, and release accessible programme information on our websites to promote arts and inclusion, as well as arts accessibility to more people. ADA is honoured to be the beneficiary of Mrs. Olivia Leung’s solo painting exhibition again. The exhibition will be held at The Exhibition Gallery, 7/F, High Block, Hong Kong City Hall from 29 to 31 May 2015. To support our vision 'Arts are for Everyone', the exhibition will provide various arts accessibility services. All benefits from this exhibition will be donated to ADA for promoting arts for everyone.

Ms Seunghee Lee, the Internationally Acclaimed Award-Winning Clarinetist, is a very generous and Hong Kong spirited musician. She is going to hold her last concert in town, named 'Concert for Cause Gala', for the charities before she leaves Hong Kong in June. ADA is delighted to be one of the beneficiaries of this Gala. The Gala will be held on 29 May 2015 8pm at HK Jockey Club Amphitheatre. In the show, Ms Lee will feature with the ADA Angel, Lee Hin, to perform 'The Story of Ups and Downs'. Tickets are available at HK Ticketing starting from 30 Apr. Please take action to support this meaningful Gala immediately!

A music concert ‘The Sound of a Dream’ was conducted at 3 pm at Stanley Plaza Amphitheatre on 25 & 26 April 2015. The grantees of ‘Artists with Disability Development Fund’, Siu Hoi Yan (Vocal) and Tang Cheuk Him (Piano) together with many special guests brought an extraordinary concert to the community.
“Open Studio: Story telling through light – Shadow Puppets Workshop” will be held on 6 June. Facilitator will share the skills of making and manipulating a shadow puppet. Participants can try to make their own shadow puppets and create stories together. Application starts from 6 May, please come to join us. Free Admission.

We will organise the first live Sign Language tour cum workshop in Hong Kong for the captioned exhibition. Ko Nam, the ADA Angel, will lead participants to know more about Yoshitomo Nara in this event.

We are invited by Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government again this year to offer a series of arts accessibility workshops for people who are interested in becoming practitioners of arts accessibility services. Workshop participants, will then provide accessibility services in two of the performances in the Festival.
