Please support Fundraising Gala 2016!
ADA is hosting its bi-annual Fundraising Gala on 13 April 2016 at Hong Kong Jockey Club Amphitheatre of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The performers are now busy rehearsing for the show. We are honored to have Florence Hui (Under Secretary for Home Affairs), Colleen Lee (well-known pianist), Harry Wong (the legendary magician), Yip’s Children’s Choir, guests and many of our artists with disabilities (AWD) to perform for an artistic evening. Performances include classical music, Chinese opera, hip hop, dance, sand painting, harp and even catwalk blending the classic yet trendy cheongsam. If you want to be a part of this meaningful and inclusive night, make a donation of HK$300 or above for a complimentary ticket now. We look forward to seeing you in the Gala.

The 9th International Abilympics
The 9th International Abilympics will be held in Bordeaux, France from 25 to 26 March, 2016. A number of our registered artists including Mandy Tang, Chan Shuk Fan, Tam Fau Kei, Jack Li, Gary Sze To, Ko Nam, Leung Kam Lan and Wong Lai sing will join a 70-people delegation, representing Hong Kong for 26 competitions. Meanwhile, ADA is invited to perform at the competition venue, showcasing the talents of our artists. All contestants gathered at the Hong Kong Government Headquarter on 29 February for a delegation ceremony with Mr Matthew Cheung, Secretary for Labour and Welfare. We wish all contestants the very best luck in the competitions!

Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2016
Our signature arts programme, Cross All Borders, is coming soon! This annual event discovered numerous talents of people with disabilities. The theme of this year is visual art. Finalist’s artworks will be presented in a public exhibition in coming October. Application of the contest will be commenced in mid-March. Hong Kong Flower Show 2016
The Hong Kong Flower Show 2016 is coming soon in March. Two ADA Registered Artists, Chan Shuk Fan and Mandy Tang, will lead the participants of Floral Arrangement Workshop under ”Creativity to Independence Project” to exhibit from 16 to 20 March in this Flower Show that is held in Victoria Park. The participants are now in the final preparation for the booth. Audio descriptions are available. We look forward to seeing you there!

Open call: Application of the 4th Artists with Disability Development Fund
The 4th Artists with Disability Development Fund, funded by Lee Hysan Foundation, is now open for application from 25 January to 31 March 2016, 6pm. Its purpose is to nurture and finance talented Hong Kong citizens with disabilities for a maximum of 3 years local or overseas arts studies. Specific arts development plan providing chances for grantees to collaborate with professional art practitioners from different backgrounds are also welcomed. Interested parties should not miss this precious opportunity!
