Introduction
Wong Wing Suet developed her passion in Saori weaving since first practicing the art in 2007, where she likes using bright colours to express her feelings and realize her imagination. Her art works are widely received in society, not only were some of them showing great diversity available for sale in the market while some were displayed in “The Joy of Weaving - SAORI Hand-weaving Project Exhibition” at Hong Kong Central Library, where she taught the exhibition visitors some basic weaving techniques and share the art with others. One of the art pieces, “Space Age” was also shortlisted in “Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2010”.
Wing Suet hopes to obtain an opportunity to visit Japan and exchange with its local artists, as well as to gain a deeper understanding of its culture of Saori weaving.
