With staunch support from the community, “Cross All Borders 2016” received nearly 900 subjects in various art forms with distinctive characteristics. There are 109 outstanding artworks passed a scrupulous selection by a professional panel and will be put on display at the Exhibition in this October. It is a good opportunity for public to appreciate the talent of the Artists with Disabilities. Arts Accessibility Services will be provided during the exhibition to ensure an equal opportunity and extraordinary experience for people with different ability.

Meeting with the Candidates of Legislative Council Election (Sports, Performing Arts, Cultural and Publication)
Ms. Ida Lam (ADA Chairperson), Mrs. C S Chong, MH, JP (ADA Honorary Adviser, JCAASC Committee Chairperson) and Mrs. Olivia Leung (ADA Vice-Chairperson) have met the candidates of Legislative Council Election (Mr. Chow Pok Yin and Mr. Ma Fung Kowk) on 1 September; they delivered appeals of supporting the art development of people with disabilities and promoting arts accessibility service.

SUNIFG HONG KONG STREETATHON@ central 2016 successfully held
SUNIFG HONG KONG STREETATHON@ central 2016 successfully held on 21 Aug, 2016. The organizer combined streetathon with arts to achieve the target of inclusion, there are three registered artists with disabilities- Zita Lam, Sonney Lai and Sandra Wong from ADAHK and another 9 energetic volunteers were invited by ADAM to provide face painting for runners during the activity, which added on artistic elements and excitement to this magnificent event!

ADA Artist-Tang Ho-yin, Chris attended the“2016 Pyeongchang Special Music & Art Festival”in South Korea
Granted by the “Artists with Disability Development Fund”, ADA Artist- Tang Ho-yin, Chris was invited as representative of Hong Kong attended “2016 Pyeongchang Special Music & Art Festival” held in South Korea in this August. During the festival, he exchanged experience with participants came from 24 countries and regions all over the world. Besides of enjoying various arts experiential activities, he obtained precious experience in the “Piano Master Class” and was recommended to perform in the Piano Concert by his mentor.

Trainer’s Training Master Class: The Art of Puppetry: Adaptive Strategies & Activities for Creative Communication, Self-expression & Social Skills
ADA has invited two experienced master trainers- Will Cabell and Deborah Stuart to conduct this fabulous workshop. They will introduce the application of puppetry as a teaching and communicating tool for learners with special needs in various settings. Participants will create different kinds of puppets and explore their applications. Specific disabilities will be addressed through games, play and movement exercises.
