“Bravo! Floral Sensation!” Winter Arts Fun Days are coming soon!
"City Dress Up: Blossoming Stairs", a city-wide community art project leading by the Hong Kong Museum of Art and supported by ADAHK, is slotted to have another two art carnivals in upcoming November and December. In addition to experience sharing with participants, artists with disabilities will co-create new artworks alongside participants on these Fun Days. Various sensational performances will also be brought to participants. Meanwhile, art accessibility booth and diversity tour will inspire participants to explore new ways of seeing and art appreciation through different senses. “Bravo! The Inclusive Exhibition 2017, under the Social Welfare Department-funded “Creativity to Independence Project”; will be held in mid-November. The exhibition will display artworks from three arts workshops, including Face Painting and Balloon Twisting Visual Arts Workshop, Acrylic and Wood Crafting Acrylic Wood and Non-visual Photography Course. A half-day carnival on Saturday 18th November morning features not only those exhibits but also chance for colouring your face with colorful face painting as well as twisting balloons for both kids and adults alike. Special guided tours are also available in leading you into the world of arts. Don’t miss the chance in having some artistic fun!

China Construction Bank (Asia) proudly brings you – ‘Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Performing Artists with Disabilities 2017’ has been concluded with enthusiastic response. Thank you for all of your support!
Organised by Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong, title sponsored by the China Construction Bank (Asia) and supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, ‘Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Performing Artists with Disabilities 2017’ had been successfully held at the Auditorium, Kwai Tsing Theatre on 7th October. The performance was ended with a big round of warm applause. The nine groups of team and individual finalists, together with guest performers brought their unique and wonderful performances and left laughter and deep impressions among the audiences. The adjudication panel and officiating guests reflected that they were amazed by the efforts and talents of those performances and performers. They all affirmed the achievements of ‘Cross All Borders’ in pooling artists to showcase their talents every year. Once again, congratulations to all award winners! We sincerely hope all participants can move forward with their enthusiasm and confidence in arts and continue to show your brilliant colours on stage.

Rediscovering Ceramics through Ceramics Trainer’s Training Master Class
The Ceramics Trainer’s Training Master Class has successfully finished in early October. Mr Chang Ching Yuan from Tainan shared different ceramic techniques and groundbreaking ceramic artworks of all time. The five-day workshop enables participants to open up their minds in ceramics making, allowed them to innovate through different practices and rediscover the possibilities of ceramics.

A Great Success at Art Next Expo
Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong has been invited to participate in the Art Next Expo between 6th and 9th October at PMQ in Central. Photos by our artists Kevin Cheng and Jack Li were featured there, which drew the attention of countless art lovers and collectors with their exceptional visual sensations and creativities. The ultimate sales of their artworks are no doubt evidential proof our artists are on par with their counterparts in their artistic talents and expertise.
