Celebrate the start of autumn with us at Freespace Happening!
Autumn has already started, and it is the perfect time of the year to enjoy the crisp cool air. ADAHK brings you tangible image puzzle and balloon twisting workshops in October’s Freespace Happening. Have you ever learned balloon twisting, a handy skill to impress children and adults alike, or put puzzle pieces together with your eyes blindfolded? If not, then join us at the two fun-packed workshops! There are also lots of other great activities around the park, including Korean music and dance, a handicrafts market, literature-themed activities, different interactive art activities. Shadow puppets combined with dialogues, music, and songs had been regarded as an ancient type of “movie” long before film and TV were invented. In this shadow puppet workshop, you can make use of different materials to design and make your unique puppets. What’s more, you can tell a moving and fascinating shadow play by using lights and reflections. We welcome people with different abilities to join us and enjoy this unique art form!

Snare Drum Workshop
Drum is commonly used in traditional orchestras, military bands and also pop music/rock music bands and always one of the musicians’ favourites. This coming workshop focuses on snare drum which is usually seen in military bands, orchestras, and symphonic bands. The snare inside produces a sharp staccato sound when it strikes with a drum stick. Participants can know the techniques of playing the snare drum and enjoy playing snare drum in solo and group. Don’t hesitate; join us at this fabulous snare drum workshop!

Ink Asia 2018
Ink Asia 2018 was successfully held in Hall 3, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, from 28 September (Fri) to 2 October (Tue). With the theme “Be Water,” ADAHK presented an array of paintings created by five talented artists. Exhibiting artists included Ko Nam, Liu Tung Mui, Frank Wong, Li Siu Yin, and So Tat Shing. We also displayed our ADAM art merchandise at the booth including the brand new “Spectacle Case and Glasses Cloth Set.” We received positive feedback from visitors and the public! Thank you all for coming and support!

Presented by ADAHK, title sponsored by the China Construction Bank (Asia) and supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, “Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2018” is successfully held at the Exhibition Gallery of the Tsuen Wan Town Hall from 5 to 12 September. Cross All Borders has proudly entered its 10th anniversary. The exhibition showcasing an array of distinguished artworks, guided tours led by artists with disabilities, the 10th-anniversary review area, and the voting section of the ‘Most Popular Artwork Award’ are highlights of this tremendous year. Here we congratulate all artists and award winners and look forward to many incredible art creations. "Cross All Borders - Excellent Artworks Exhibition" will be held at CCB Tower in Central in the coming months, please stay tuned for more details.
