A Bit More than Arts Festival - Burst . Imagination

Burst: To radiate around strongly from the inside out.

Imagination: A cognitive thinking process whereby people re-process the superficial images inside the mind, break the constraints of time and space, and re-create new images.

Isn’t this a vivid portrait of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: Inclusive Arts Project?

Participants from organisations or on individual capacity learn and experience arts in the Jockey Club Inclusive Arts Studio (JCIAS). Whatever they prefer, be it a visual arts creation or a performing arts encounter, they burst with imagination to share, interact and discuss their ideas with facilitators, fellow participants and working teams. Through persistent practice, they broaden their horizons and social circles, creating unique artworks and performances.

After joining the arts activities, they have enriched their personal experience as well as their knowledge about different cultures, and those supporting partners and organisational staff accompanying them have taken inspiration and creativeness from the activities for use in future scenarios. Apart from various workshops, the Project also includes Trainers’ Training Master Class held by overseas artists to animate and empower the supporting partners and organisational staff, and to enlarge their modes of thinking in various areas.

JCIAS welcomes people from all walks of life to participate in the arts. We organize diverse arts activities for people with different abilities as well as the general public. We hope to spread out the atmosphere and message of inclusiveness while widening the imagination in arts to make them richer and more fascinating.

A Bit More than Arts Festival celebrates the eighth year of the Project. Through this platform, we unleash mammoth burst of creativity, emotion and energy we accumulated, radiating it from the inside out. We invite you to come and see, feel and experience it and we look forward to your response and interaction.
