“Still Human” Charity Screening
The 38th Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony will take place next Sunday. This year’s nominated movies bring a spectacular mix of subjects. With the support from Golden Scene Company Limited, ADAHK is going to organize a charity screening of “Still Human” at the MCL Cheung Sha Wan on the eve of the Ceremony (April 13, next Saturday).
“Still Human” features performances from the Hong Kong veteran actor, Anthony Wong (黃秋生) and it is a sentimental story of a middle-aged man who gets paralyzed after an accident at a construction site and his new Filipino helper. This film is the winning work of The 3rd First Feature Film Initiative by The Film Development Fund. It is also nominated for eight awards at the Hong Kong Film Awards including Best Film and Best Actor and Actress. We do hope that this inspiring movie conveys a message to the audience of neither setting their dreams aside nor giving up their effort when hitting rock bottom in life. Funds raised through this screening will be used in a meaningful way to support the artistic development of persons with disabilities, including professional training, mentorship, overseas exchange, arts promotion, and operations. |

The Path Together School Tour
The critically acclaimed “The Path Together” hit the stage again in January, and we have received rave review on the incredible performance. The first stop of “The Path Together” School Tour was already held at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in October last year. The second and third stop will be held at the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University respectively bringing the audience a unique drama which integrates arts accessibility elements such as theatrical interpretation into the show. After the performance, there will be a post-show sharing to let the public know more about the arts accessibility service.
