Enjoy the fun-filled activities and promote arts with the disabled at the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival 2019
We are collaborating with CCB (Asia) this year again at the annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival. Special dragon boat and figurines designed by ADAHK Angel Apple Tong will be displayed, so be sure to come and take pictures with them!
On top of it, visitors can enjoy the fun of rowing dragon boat on land while support artists with disabilities at the “Row for Charity” area. CCB (Asia) will then donate HK$2,000 to us for each 1km cumulative rowing distance. Each participant is required to row only a distance of 200m. Fund raised will be used for the development of artists with disabilities. The more mileage you clock up, the more support we get from the bank! Come and join us for a worthwhile cause! What’s more, ADAM will join the Artisanal Market at the Carnival, where you can purchase various exquisite products featuring artworks created by our talented artists, bringing a hint of inclusiveness to the fabulous celebration. We will also bring you ceramic seals created by the students from Sam Shui Natives Association Lau Pun Cheung School who participate in the “Ignition Scheme.” Visitors can create their unique greeting cards with those cute stamps. Date and time: 14 June from 1 pm to 9 pm 15 – 16 June from 10 am to 9 pm Venue: Central Harbourfront Event Space Booth no. at the Artisanal Market: No. 31 and 32 Admission: Free |

“The Blooming Melody” recital was a complete success!
The grantees of “The 6th Artists with Disability Development Fund”, Sheung Yu-mei (Guzheng) and Yang Enhua (Erhu) brought us a wonderful performance on 1 June 2019. In “The Blooming Melody” recital, the two young artists expressed their hope and passion for music as well as their gratitude to those who have been supporting them along the musical journey. Lee Hin, previous grantee of “The Artists with Disability Development Fund” also joined the recital as the MC of the night, showering his support to Yu-mei and Enhua.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the Lee Hysan Foundation and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra for their outpouring of support. For more information: http://www.adahk.org.hk/?a=doc&id=3433 |
