[Paint]scape has come to a successful end!
Over 30 landscape paintings created by 22 artists with disabilities were successfully showcased in the two-phase exhibition in July and August at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The exhibition offered insights on artists’ infinite range of self-reflection and self-expression, and was well-received by many visitors.
We also organized guided tours and workshops. Exhibiting artists, Wong Wing-hong and Lo Pui-yung demonstrated acrylic drawing and modern ink painting during the workshops. All artworks created in those workshops were also exhibited in phase II of the exhibition. Our success is due to the enormous enthusiasm and unwavering support from all participating artists and organizations. We would like to express our gratitude to the Labour and Welfare Bureau, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Shun Hing Group, and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. We look forward to collaborating with our artists in the near future. |
