Audio Description Workshop (Drama Productions) is underway
The Audio Description Workshop (Drama Productions) was held on 4, 11, and 12 July. Professional Audio Describer, Ms. Gigi Ng served as the instructor. Audio description techniques for describing drama visual elements, action, facial expression and pre-show notes were introduced. Mr Terence Chang, The Academy Senior Lecturer (Directing) and Postgraduate Programme Leader (Drama), concentrated his teaching on use of voice and articulation. People with visually impairment were invited to have exchanges with the participants, in order to understand the needs of service users. The first phase of e-assessment is now being carried out. When the epidemic is under control and circumstances permit, the second phase of training and live assessment will be conducted. The workshop is the first step for the participants to become professional Oral Describers.

“Life Enrichment Program for Elderly with Disabilities” makes its first shot
The Percussion Workshop Trail Classes have been held on schedule at the 3 partner NGOs: HK PHAB Association Peng Chau Neighbourhood Elderly cum Children/ Youth Centre, The Chinese Rhenish Church Mrs. Mann Tai Po Rhenish Neighbourhood Elder-ly Centre and Christian Family Service Centre Truelight Court Day Care Centre for the Elderly. The participants enthusiastically explored their unique rhythms and timbres, being inspired by the vibrant drumbeats, elderlies led the class to perform a song in sign, while there were usual quiet members singing loud and clear. All kinds of break-through brought nice surprises to our team.
