‘Spread Our Common Sense 2021 with Hong Kong’ Symposium is now open for application!
Our artists with disabilities, together with artists from the City Contemporary Dance Company CCDC Dance Centre broke the distancing barriers under the pandemic and performed a dance piece as part of an international dance production, ‘Breakthrough Journey’, featuring choreographers and dancers from 6 regions, including Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The symposium will connect the participated artists of diverse backgrounds (such as disabilities, nationalities, and cultures) to discuss and share their achievements made, challenges met, and new possibilities found through this unprecedented international collaboration.

Alvin Li, our artist with disability, used a palette of rich colours and briskly brushstrokes to depict Hong Kong scenery and create a set of four greeting envelopes. Hanging wishes on the wishing tree in Lam Tsuen, overlooking the Victoria Harbour from the top of the Victoria Peak, the bustling city, building homes with love, all of these featured fond memories are uniquely Hong Kong. 【A Bit More than Arts Festival - Online Exhibition’s Guided Tour】
The second phase of A Bit More than Arts Festival’s online exhibition will be launched soon! Virtual guided tours will be available from 15 to 31 March, where you can go behind the scenes of our fantastic workshops from ‘The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant-Inclusive Arts Project’. Through a series of exhibited artworks, photos and video documentation, participants will learn about the different facets and forms of inclusive arts.

‘Cross All Borders 2020: Dare to Be!’ concluded successfully!
‘Cross All Borders 2020: Dare! To! Be!’ came to a successful end. Thank you all for showering us your tremendous support. The brand-new ‘Cross All Borders 2020’ broke the past years’ tradition and showcased both visual and performing arts. Events were scheduled throughout the year, including performances, exhibitions, round-table discussions and art workshops. Besides providing professional platforms for artists with disabilities to shine, we also encouraged them to make a breakthrough and create a series of unparalleled artworks. The round-table session further promote dialogue and exchanges between local and overseas disability arts practitioners.

Artists as Docent Training Workshop
Our arts accessibility team launched a new initiative, ‘Artists as Docent Training Workshop', where Ms. Ice Wong, an experienced docent trainer and art educator, is invited as the workshop facilitator. Through classes, demonstrations and practicum, artists with disabilities learned docent techniques for various art forms; they are getting ready for the accessible tours to come.
