‘We Don’t Have The Answer' Online Sharing Session
In the non-visual photography class, ‘Arts Connect - Virtual‧Reality’, art facilitator encouraged visually impaired participants to use their senses other than sight to transform sound, imagination, memories and trivial things in life into photos, videos, and three-dimensional works.
In ‘We Don’t Have The Answer' public display, six visually impaired participants: Chan Suk Fong, Lee Wing Yi, Lei Choi Fat, Jacky Sze, Wan Kok Fai and Vicki Wong showcase their creative output from the class, and share their learning experiences with art facilitator, Yuen Hon Wai and Audio Describer, Dorothy Ngan. An online sharing session is organized to share their inner-thought and the journey along the way. Date: 9 April 2022 (Sat) Time: 2:30pm-4:30pm Platform: ‘We Don’t Have The Answer’ Facebook ** ‘Arts Connect’ is a 1.5-year-project, supported by the Social Welfare Department’s Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities. |
Submit your entry to ‘Art Unbound, Inclusion Absolute - Heritage for All Drawing Competition’
Organised by the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO), the 'Art Unbound, Inclusion Absolute - Heritage for All Drawing Competition' invites participants to use their creativity, not only to express themselves through art, but also to appreciate historic buildings from new perspectives. The AMO hopes the submissions would resonate with the general public, encourage social inclusion by bringing the public closer to people with disabilities, and promote appreciation of antiquities and monuments in Hong Kong. Participants are invited to select one of the four designated historic buildings to depict its attributes through art. ADAHK is one of the supporting organisations and encourages artists to actively participate in the competition, capturing history with a paintbrush.
The competition starts from now until 30 April 2022. For details, please click here. |
Arts Accessibility ▎Making Art Accessible to All
For 35 years, ADAHK has the mission of making sure that people with and without disabilities can access the arts without barriers and enacting measures that allow them to fully participate in various arts and cultural activities. By removing barriers that prevent people with disabilities from attending arts and cultural activities and going the extra mile to provide Arts Accessibility services, we have been opening doors for a diverse audience to immerse in the enriching arts and cultural experiences.
Proudly as the Strategic Supporting Partner of 'No Limits' again, ADAHK provides a series of Arts Accessibility services to people with and without disabilities so that they can enjoy a fabulous series of programmes covering music, dance, theatre and film, and featuring international and Hong Kong artists of different abilities. |
