Arts with Elderly Photography Exhibition
The three-year ‘Life Enrichment Programme for Elderly with Disabilities’ partners with different local NGOs and, through a series of art activities such as percussion, photography, storytelling, Tangible Representation, Audio Description, and ‘Home Delivery Arts Service’, aims to bring the dazzling beauty of the arts to delay the cognitive degeneration of older adults, especially those with the early stage of dementia, have difficulty going out, or elderly singletons living with health and accessibility needs.
The exhibition showcases photographs taken by 182 elderlies from 9 elderly centres and features themes, namely ‘The First Take,’ ‘My Community,’ ‘Still Life Photography,’ and ‘Portrait Photography.’ The exhibition also provides an array of Arts Accessibility items, including Audio Description, Tangible Representation, Braille Material, and Sign Interpretation videos so that people with different disabilities can enjoy the fantastic artworks created by the ‘silver hairs.’

Is it possible for ‘art technology,’ ‘environment,’ and ‘arts’ to go hand in hand together and achieve sustainable development? Two experts and artists will be invited to shed light upon the above issue in our additional programme, the ‘Green‧Art’ Talk Series. They will discuss the subject from different perspectives and share their thoughts on how the environment, the arts and technology have an impact on one another. All activities are free of charge. 【Artlink】Recruiting now! Let’s connect with overseas pen pals through the arts!
‘Artlink’ connects overseas people of different cultures and backgrounds and initiates a long-distance friendship through the arts that promote appreciation and respect for cultural diversity. Participants take part in art activities and create various art pieces on specific topics guided by experienced art facilitators. Every bit of the heart-warming stories will be shared with each other on the Facebook page and through mailing parcels. Participants will even have an opportunity to meet overseas pen-friends via video calls!
