‘ArtWorks - The Path to Becoming an Artist’: Now Open for Application
Shape your unique path as a professional artist in ‘ArtWorks - The Path to Becoming an Artist,’ which offers 18 months of mentorship and continuous learning!
The programme, continuing the legacy of ‘ArtWorks,’ aims to empower talented artists with disabilities to achieve professional and diversified development, solidify their style, and adapt to the evolving needs of society. Participants will be paired with a mentor to jointly develop a personalised learning plan after indicating their area of interest and subject. Throughout the programme, participants will have the valuable opportunity to learn from different facilitators and indulge in creative urges across different themes. To boot, participants will receive diverse learning experiences such as regular opportunities to appreciate and evaluate exhibitions and performances, lectures, master sharing on artist cultivation, and essential artist support. How can we make the artwork more accessible to the audience? What steps are involved in curating an exhibition?
During this workshop, the facilitator will share the fundamental knowledge of curating, including methods of showcasing artworks, utilising exhibition tools and the concept of Arts Accessibility. In addition to theoretical explanations, the participants will have the opportunity to experience the exhibition setup process under the facilitator's guidance.

ADAHK Empowers M+ Museum with Sign Language Interpretation
ADAHK has partnered with M+ to create a series of interview videos featuring artists and creators, accompanied by Hong Kong Sign Language Interpretation. The incorporation of Sign Language Interpretation allows people with different abilities to fully engage with the artistic discussions and insights shared by the featured artists. These videos are now available on M+ 's YouTube channel and online M+ Magazine and are displayed in the Main Hall Lobby of M+, providing an inclusive experience for all visitors.

【iStage X ADAHK】Family Series 5: ‘Soul Switch’ Is Coming Soon!
iStage and ADAHK collaborate for the first time with our artists with disabilities, Lee Shing and Shum Hang-fu, joining the cast and teaming up with the child actors to present a heart-warming production called ‘Soul Switch’ in December 2023. What kind of sparks will arise between the two artists with disabilities and a group of young actors? How did they set sail for a joyful, surprising and thought-provoking VR journey? 【Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Competition of Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2024】 Application Period Ended!
Thank you for your enthusiastic participation in ‘Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Competition of Showcasing New Visual Artists with Disabilities 2024’! The application period for the competition officially closed on 20 November 2023. We are thrilled to announce that we have received over 300 artworks of various forms and styles submitted by over 200 talented artists with disabilities. The artworks will soon enter the screening stage. Please stay tuned to the ADAHK website for the latest updates.

AIRSIDE Docent Training Workshop
The workshop was held in November for 17 elderly docents-to-be in AIRSIDE, Nan Fung Group’s new landmark in Kai Tak. The workshop introduced the role of a docent and the basic techniques of guided tours for exhibitions organised by AIRSIDE. One of the workshop’s uniqueness is its introduction of the concept of inclusion to cater to the needs of visitors with different abilities. The workshop empowers older adults as docents and advocates the concept of 'Wholeness.'
